Dale F. Hess, 95, of Aurora passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his home. He was born June13, 1929 in Aurora, IL.

Dale was a proud United States Army veteran. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and his family above all. He was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy and DePaul University with a degree in accounting. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and tennis, playing into his nineties, photography and traveling, visiting nearly every state. Above all Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his seven children David G. Hess, Susan (Rod) Schmahl, Robert F. (Simone) Hess, Thomas P. (Tracey) Hess, Laura A. Kane, Christopher M. (Joann) Hess, Brian M. (Yvonne) Hess, twelve grandchildren Ally (Nicholas) Kane, Sophie Kane, Matthew Hess, Melanie Hess, Ross (Chrysi) Moshinsky, Ryan Moshinsky, Emily (Clay) Pilgreen, Elizabeth Hess, Jesica Behrens, Nikki Behrens, Tara (Robert) Rehak,; four great grandchildren, Taylor Rehak, Bobby Rehak, Owen Rehak, Jaxon Behrens; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly sixty years, Mary Anne (Heitsman) Hess; his parents, Frank and Magdalena (Nickels) Hess; a sister, Maxine Wiley; two brothers, Clyde Hess, Leroy Hess.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 9:00 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 9:30 AM, Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
