Cutberta Astorga Chaidez, 74, of Sugar Grove, passed away, at her home on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born February 7, 1947 in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Jesus Jose Astorga and Esther Chaidez.
Cutberta was the best cook. She was a devout Catholic, and enjoyed traveling and praying the rosary. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by five children, Celtiz Esther Cuevas, Hector Martinez, Mauro (Sandra Ochoa) Martinez, Alberto (Sandra) Martinez and Cesar (Azucena) Homero Martinez; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings Luis Ana Astorga, Elda Astorga, Ofelia Astorga, Aleida Astorga, Eleuterio Astorga, Fausto Astorga, and Eugenio Astorga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roberto Martinez Silva; and her siblings Mauro, Enrique, and Teresa Astorga.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 13 at 9:30AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Therese Church at 10:00 AM. Fr. Darwin Flores will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500.
