Obituary

It is with great sadness that our Mom, Corenne Antoinette Fredericksen (Seidelman), was called home on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Rush Copley Hospital. She was on the road to recovery after suffering a stroke last month, but an unexpected illness was more than her 92 year old body could handle.
Corenne was born on March 4, 1932 in Aurora Il, attended St. Joseph grade school and graduated from Madonna High School in 1950. She married the love of her life on Oct. 17th, 1959 and after 18 wonderful and loving years of marriage, became a widow on Jan. 1st, 1978 when our Dad was called home. She unexpectedly became a single. Mom and made sure that our lives and dreams remained unchanged with the help of family, our parish and her unlimited selflessness. She blessed us with quality catholic education, strong family values, endless generosity and a lifetime of cherished memories that we will carry and share for the rest of our days. Her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren would not be who we are today without her guidance, strong role model influence and positive outlook for which we are and will be forever grateful. Her dedicated and unwavering role as mother, grandmother and great grandmother was her proudest life achievement.
Corenne worked at AID (Association for Individual Development) for over 20 years at bookkeeping. She cherished spending time with family, reading (with her kitty Sadie on her lap), watching Jeopardy and the Chicago Cubs, collecting angels and watching birds along with all other outdoor wildlife. Her love of cooking/baking and ALWAYS caring for her family was the biggest part of who she was and can never be replaced.
Corenne is survived by her daughters, Sherry Fredericksen (Brown), Cindy Fredericksen (Tom Chirich); grandchildren, Rob Fredericksen, Nicole Olson (Levi) and Marissa Brown (Nick Stevens); great grandchildren Davina Olson, Mariah Brown, Jennifer & Zoey Stevens; Sister-In-Law Marion (Jerry) Turner.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert M Fredericksen; her brother, William L Seidelman; her parents, Leonard A Seidelman, Irene Seidelman (Wood) plus many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday May 20th, 11:00 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
