Clifford Carver, 93, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born July 23, 1928 in Greenville, KY.
Clifford was a devoted member and minister at First Apostolic Church of Aurora where he was extremely active with Sunday school, the choir, and singles ministry and much more. He retired from General Electric with over forty years of service to the company. After his retirement he worked another twenty five years for Jewel Foods.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Hays) Carver; four children, Clifford E. (Linda) Carver of Lee, IL, Jeffrey C. (Mary) Carver of Willowbrook, IL; Joel M. (Carlota) Carver of Pocahontes, AR, Julie D. (William) Darby of Oswego, IL; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Dona Sumner of Osage, MO; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward E. and Julia A. (Dearmond) Carver; his stepmother, Mary May (Sumner) Carver; four sisters, Gracie Noffsinger, Mable Carver, Ruby Goff, Juanita Hays; a brother, Jewel Braken.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 6:00 PM at First Apostolic Church of Aurora; Pastor Brent Coltharp will officiate. Interment will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at First Apostolic Church of Aurora, 1690 Sheffer Road, Aurora, IL 60505.
