Clare Gainey, 55 of North Aurora passed away peacefully in her home early Monday morning. She was born in Brigham City, UT on October 21, 1962. She married Larry Gainey on March 16, 1982.
Survivors include her husband Larry Gainey of North Aurora; daughter, Nicole (Marcus) Seymore of Seffner, Fl; Sons Larry Gainey Jr (Anne) of Aurora and Charles Gainey (Katie Brown) of Chicago. Four grandchildren (Tinnea Johnson, Laila Gainey, Ariana Gainey and Clare Seymore) and six step grandchildren. Her mother Ceil Plese of Freeport, IL; and lastly her siblings Greg (Wendy) Plese of Salinas, CA, Annette (Marty) Janecke of Ridott, IL, Kathy (Shawn) Eaton of DeKalb, Monica (Al) Taylor of Aurora, CO, Leo (Mary) Plese of Geneva, and Mike (Laurie) Plese of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her father Leo Plese.
The Gainey family would like to thank the staff at Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center Delnor, including Dr. George and her nurses the "Lauras". We appreciate not only the care but the positive energy that you surrounded Clare with for the past three years.
A visitation followed by a brief prayer service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at The Daleiden Mortuary.
