Charlotte C. Millen

Charlotte C. Millen of North Aurora passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at The Pearl at The Tillers in Oswego at the age of 95. She was born on June 18, 1928, in Aurora, Illinois to Walter and Charlotte (Artlip) Ahlgren. She graduated from East Aurora High School. Charlotte enjoyed playing bridge with her close friends for over 60 years. She loved knitting, and was very talented at designing tee shirts and sweatshirts. She also enjoyed attending her grandson’s baseball games. Charlotte prided herself in making baked goods, especially cookies, pies, and everyone’s favorite “peanut brittle.” She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in North Aurora. Survivors include her five children; Bob (Kathy) Millen of Algonquin, Beth (Dave) Walgren of Batavia, Kathy (Larry) Hills of Michigan, Jane (Jerry) Koster of Michigan, and Mike (Brenda) Millen of North Aurora. Eight grandchildren, Brian Walgren, Christine Hills, Dan (Mallori) Millen Sarah (Chad) Ramprey, Anne Millen, Tyler Millen, Jenna Millen, and Justin Millen; three great grandchildren, Megan Millen, Carter Millen, and Graham Rampey. Her brother Eugene Ahlgren, one sister-in-law Marilyn Millen and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Millen in 1994, her parents, Charlotte and Walter Ahlgren, sisters, Jules Winokur, Betty Grabow, and Jean McCabe, brothers James Ahlgren and Walter Ahlgren Funeral services for Charlotte will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 801 Oak Street, North Aurora. A visitation will be held directly at church from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM with a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev Max Lasrado officiating; burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora.
