Charles Edward Hoscheit, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 89 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1935, in Peru, Illinois.
Charles dedicated his career to public service, most notably his longtime leadership with the Lockport Park District (1965-1977), followed by the Fox Valley Park District where he served as Director from 1977 to 1998. Charles continued to guide the district through many years of growth and development until his retirement.
He loved life to the fullest; whether at a football game, walking the nature trail, traveling or being in the company of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Sabotta) Hoscheit; Sister, Jane (Patrick) O'Kier; Son, Charles (Julie) Hoscheit; Daughters, Laura Callahan, Becky (Robert) Lenzi; Grandchildren, Sarah (Lirim) Callahan, Ryan (Beth) Callahan, Aimee (Brian) Anderson, Robert (Krystina) Lenzi, Ross (Lea) Lenzi, Alexander Hoscheit, Benjamin Hoscheit, Paige Hoscheit; Great-Grandchildren, Katherine Callahan, Collin Callahan, and Leo Lenzi.
He was preceded in death by both his Parents, Charles and Bernadette (Malone) Hoscheit; Brothers, Francis Hoscheit, John Hoscheit; Sisters, Lucy McGann, Julie McNamara, and Mary Faletti.
Memorials may be made out to The American Heart Association in his honor.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Angels Church on December 29, 2025 at 11:00AM. Arrangements entrusted to The Daleiden Mortuary (220 N. Lake St. Aurora, IL 630-631-5500).
