Charles W. Brown, Jr., 90, of North Aurora, Illinois passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Accent Care Inpatient Hospice Center Naperville. He was born January 21, 1933 in Aurora, IL.
Charles was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a proud first generation American. He attended St. Therese Grade School, Marmion Military Academy and the University of Notre Dame. He enjoyed a long career as a mechanical engineer retiring at the age of eighty from Tiem Engineering in Yorkville. For many years he gave of his time as a baseball coach for the North Aurora Baseball Association. Charles was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his two children, Charles W. (Kristin) Brown, III, Theresa E. (Stephen) Shacklett; five grandchildren, Cheston Shacklett, Julie Shacklett, Thomas Brown, John Brown, and Evelyn Brown.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty four years, Leonora L. (Schild) Brown; his parents, Charles W. and Julianna (Schwetkauski) Brown, Sr.; his son, Thomas A. Brown.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church 801 Oak Street, North Aurora, Illinois; Fr. Max Lasrado will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In state visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church.
