Catherine Ann "Kay" Frye, 87 of Aurora, IL formerly of Sterling, IL, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Amita Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1934 in Sterling, IL.
Kay was a psychiatric nurse at Mercy Center for many years. She earned her blue belt in Karate when she was in her mid 50's. Kay enjoyed making crafts and loved to make baby blankets for anyone and everyone who wanted one for their baby.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Charlene Frye and many close friends including the Johnson, Albright, and Hardy families.
She was preceded in death by her life partner Angelo Gallo; her parents Kathryn (Carroll) and Virgil Frye; and her brother Earl Frye.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 6:30pm at The Daleiden Mortuary.
Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00pm until the funeral time at 6:30pm.
A private burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling, IL.
