Catherine Susan Hewitt, 68, passed away at her home in Batavia on Monday, January 9, 2023. She was born on January 14, 1954 in Aurora, the daughter of Edward and Lois (Becker) LeRoy. On January 20, 2009, she married the love of her life Herbert Richard Hewitt, Sr.
Catherine enjoyed working for many years at Lumes Pancake House in Batavia. She was a loving grandmother who delighted in watching her grandsons play baseball. She loved playing bingo, traveling, and the Chicago Cubs. She also loved being around people and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
She will be missed by her daughters, Rebecca (Sergio) Ruiz and Angela Rios; grandchildren, Christopher, Sergio, Samuel, Madeline, Ashley, Alison, and Benjamin; great grandson, Max; and sister, Kelly Smith.
Preceding her in death is her beloved husband, Herbert; son, Chad Stokesberry; and her parents, Edward and Lois LeRoy.
