Bonnie Mae Howard, age 93, of Hinckley, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 peacefully in her home.
She was born January 29, 1928 in Reed, Kentucky; the daughter of Henry and Florence (Wright) Fray.
Bonnie became a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in St. Charles after her husband had passed away at an early age of 41 yrs old in 1968.
She devoted her entire life to the care and enjoyment of her large family which also included many friends that she considered as her extended family.
She opened her heart and home to anyone who needed her and had nothing but kindness to ever say about anything or anyone. Anyone that was blessed to have known Bonnie stated she was a very special and wonderful woman.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Joseph Leo Howard; her two sons, Joseph (Shirley) Howard Jr. of Castlewood, VA and Jonathon Howard of Aurora, IL; two daughters Sherry (Larry) Jackson from Rockford, IL and Karen Howard from Decatur, AL; and her two brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her children Clifton Howard of N. Manchester, IN, Brenda (Dean) Chambers of Decatur, AL, Michael (Deborah) Howard of Lombard, IL, Kathie Howard of Hinckley, IL, Steve Howard of Hinckley, IL, Beverly Hawkins of Plano, IL, Jimmy Howard of Ottawa, IL and Jeannie (Rick) Huftel of Ottawa, IL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her sister Bettie Fray of Owensboro, KY and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY.
Funeral service will be immediately after the visitation at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St, Aurora IL 60506. 630-631-5500. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora.
