Bonita "Bonnie" R. Ederati, 91, of Oswego, Illinois, peacefully passed away at her home on August 4th, 2026. She was welcomed into eternal peace, where she was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Richard, who lovingly took her hand once again.

Bonnie was born on November 18, 1934, in Morris, Illinois, to Raymond E. and Ruth L. (Warning) Baker. She married the love of her life, Richard M. Ederati and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their home was built on love, faith, and devotion as they raised their family with kindness, compassion and unwavering support.

A faithful member of Church of the Good Shepherd in Oswego, Illinois, Bonnie lived a life centered on service to others. She worked as a clerk at Caterpillar in Aurora while also dedicating herself to raising her children. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she generously gave her time as a hospice support volunteer and served those in need through her work with Hesed House. She also enjoyed being in the Red Hats with her good friend Jan Olson. Her caring heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature touched the lives of many.

Bonnie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy Ray of Big Rock, Illinois; Brian Ederati of North Aurora, Illinois; Alex Holden (Mark) of Minnesota; and Gary Sorem of Oswego, Illinois. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren, eight treasured great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; her parents Raymond and Ruth Baker; her stepson Mark Ederati; and her daughter Lori Milovich and many dear friends who welcomed her home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 5W Washington Street, Oswego, Il 60543. The family will receive guests prior to the service beginning at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bonnie's name to Hesed House or to an animal welfare organization of your choice.
