Obituary

Blaire Irene Bobo, 90, aunt, sister, daughter, disciple and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Aurora. An integral part of the congregation at First Baptist Church and second mother to her nieces and nephews, Blaire was a loving, caring, giving and stabilizing force for all who knew her.

She was born, raised and lived in Aurora where she graduated from West Aurora High School, attended Aurora College (now University), started her own accounting business, purchased and cared for the historic Keystone Building in downtown Aurora, and served in many volunteer roles at her church.

Over the years, Blaire played in local bowling tournaments and sports clubs, served as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, taught numerous family and friends about boating and waterskiing, travelled across Europe and the US and was a frequent visitor to Hawaii. A consummate game player, she loved cards, board games and the occasional pull at the slot machine that frequently rewarded her efforts.

A lifelong animal lover, she supported stray and abandoned cats and always had her beloved dog by her side.

Blaire was preceded in death by her father, Paul Robert and mother, Margaret Blaire (Massey); sister, Ann Marie (Carr) and brother Paul Robert Jr. and nephew Brad Bobo.

She is survived by her brother, William Benjamin; nieces, Susan Bobo, Paula (Bobo) Hallenbeck, Malia (Carr) Franklin and Maile (Carr) Eddy and nephews, Scott Bobo and Douglas Carr.
