Obituary

BJ (Bobbie Joe) Surratt passed away peacefully on 6/10/21. He was a proud and loving man; always willing to strike up a conversation about his beloved Cubs. A good day was when the Cubs won and the White Sox lost.

Dad was retired for many years and enjoyed golfing until his health declined. He was also an active member of social clubs; the Aurora Turners, the Phoenix Club, the Third Ward Club, and Luxies. Dad served in the Air Force and was also a member of Amvet Posts 103.

Dad will be missed by many; his beautiful smile and hair (if you knew Dad, he never wanted anyone messing with his hair); flirtatious way with women and unbelievable wicked sense of humor. We will always remember, when he would go to get his blood drawn, the nurse would say "which arm?" and my dad would respond with "yours".

While we are all saddened by the loss of his sweet nature and wicked sense of humor - we look forward to sharing many memories and celebrating his lovable spirit. Please join us this Saturday, June 12th, 2021 (anytime between 3-7 pm) for a casual gathering of friends and family at Gario's Pizza Villa, 813 Montgomery Rd. Montgomery IL.

Per Dad's wishes, there will be no formal service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in BJ's memory to American Liver Foundation, liverfoundation.org or American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org.
