Betty Glover of Aurora, IL passed away August 6, 2025 to be reunited with her husband
Abraham Glover.
Betty loved spending time with her family and could be seen at many school functions for her
grandkids. Her favorite past-time was playing bingo which she would play every day if she could
and if she wasn't playing bingo, you could normally find her shopping or working on crossword
puzzles. Betty was a cook at Simmons Junior High and a lifelong member of the East Aurora
Sports Boosters where she worked the concession stand for many years. Betty was a member
of St George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aurora and spent many hours volunteering any
chance she could.
Betty is survived by her sons Tony (Carol) Glover, Richard Glover, her daughter Judie Williams,
her daughter-in-law Sue Glover and many grandkids, great grandkids great-great grandkids,
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Abe Glover, her parents Frank (Catherine)
Guddendorf, Son Tom Glover, Son-in-law Loren Williams, Grandsons Sean Greif, Jacob Glover,
Billy Glover, Scotty Glover, Lil Richard Glover, 3 brothers (Frank, John and Bill) and 5 sisters
(Dolores, Rosie, JoAnn, Lorraine and MaryAnn).
A visitation will be held at St George Byzantine Catholic Church in Aurora on Monday, August 11th from 4-7pm, with a wake service at 3:45pm. The funeral service at St George Byzantine Catholic Church will take place Tuesday, August 12th at 10am followed by the graveside at Lincoln Memorial Park.
