Audrey M. Friedgen, 96, of Aurora, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. She was born August 11, 1926, in Sussex, England, the daughter of Albert and Olive (Buckman) Smith.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Friedgen. She was also preceded in death by her sister Olive Mills, and her niece.
Survivors include three grandchildren Dr. Wesley Simons (Alicia Wilson) of Salisbury, NC, David (Sonia) Simons of Earlville, and Thomas (Rebecca) Hanson of Ottawa; seven great grandchildren Madilyn, Gwendolyn, Rhiannon, Morgan, Bryceton, Kadin, and Thomas; also one niece and one nephew.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora IL 60506. 630-631-5500. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow at Marywood Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made to Annunciation Church in Aurora.
