Ashanti Finley, 21, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at her home in North Aurora. Ashanti was born on June 21, 2002 in Aurora, the loving daughter of Roger and Cassandra (Hoey) Finley.
Ashanti received much joy in listening to music and attending school at Hope D. Wall in Aurora. She had a beautiful smile and she will be cherished and missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Roger and Cassandra Finley; grandfather, Shelby (Renee) Jones; grandmother, Edna Hoey; aunts and uncles, Tanya Thomas, Anthony Jones, Mary Jones, Shelby Jones, Charita Eccles, Mary Ann Finley, Roy Finley, Rodney Finley, Marsha Finley, and Louise Finley; special cousin, Justin Edmonds; brother, Tyson Lassiter; sisters, Shanise Lassiter, Shontae Finley, Stephanie Finley, and Ty'Anna Finley.
Preceding her in death is her grandmother, Mary Finley; grandfather, Roy Finley; and Uncle Ray Finley
Funeral Service will begin Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church in Aurora. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery.
