Alice G. Vago

Alice Georgia (Baker) Vago, 87, after enduring the debilitating Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia peacefully passed away Friday January 6, 2017 in Aurora, IL. She was blessed having her family by her side. Alice will forever be remembered for her spunky spirit and her manner of always providing a magnetic personality everyone could adore. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana and relocated to Aurora, IL at an early age becoming a life-long resident finally meeting the man of her dreams, Louis Nick Vago where they both were working as accountants at Warrenville Window Co. Alice and Louis wed, had 3 children and together were involved in numerous business ventures throughout the community including building and being co-owners of the Ramada Inn in Aurora where Alice contributed so much to the growth of that business. She was a dedicated mother, wife and friend to everyone that had the benefit of knowing her. Alice had several passions throughout her life including boating, playing bridge and enjoying days n’ nights with her soulmate, Louis and their friends in Florida during their twilight years. Alice is survived by her son, Michael (wife-Renae) Vago of Minnesota and her son David (wife-Sheila) Vago; grandchildren: Ryan & Lauren Vago of Aurora, Stephanie & Tony Nanfria of Batavia, Louis, Christian and Erin Vago, Jupiter, FL. and great grandchildren: Felix and Dominic Basso of Aurora. She is preceded in death by her parents Mabel & John Baker, her husband Louis Nick Vago and her daughter Linda (Nanfria) Vago. Funeral service will be Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Rev. Sandy Jones will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora 630-631-5500.
