Alecsandru Mocanu, 95, of Aurora, IL, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. He was born February 23, 1926 in Romania. He married his beloved, Maria and celebrated sixty-six years of marriage.

He was a loving father and husband who was a member of St. Michael Romanian Byzantine
Catholic Church. He loved gardening and playing lotto. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his son, Christian (Georgetta) Mocanu; nieces, Lilliana (Traian) Abrudan, Mihaela (Marius) Rosca, Sylvia, Florentina, and Viorica; and sister-in-law, Ana Mocanu.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Mocanu.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, followed by interment at St. Michael Cemetery.
