Adeniyi "Terry" Adekunle, 74, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Aurora. He was born on September 4, 1949 in Kosoko, Lagos, Nigeria, the son of Mofolorunso Adekunle and Christianah Tanimowo Sawyerr Adekunle.
A devoted husband and loving father, Adeniyi resided in Aurora for thirty years. He earned a degree in Transportation/Distribution/Logistics from the University of Toledo. He retired as a distribution and logistics professional.
Adeniyi is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Kelly (Porte) Adekunle; daughter, Christiana Joy Adekunle; siblings, Olufunmilayo Omitowoju, Adetokunbo Ogundipe, and Ibironke Salaam; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are siblings, Ayodele Adekunle, Mojisola Adekunle, Adesunbo Adekunle, and Olusegun Adekunle.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 am at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church 337 Ottawa Street Joliet, Illinois 60436

A Memorial luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.
