Wilma Anna (Beyer) Hauer, 98, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away at Jennings Terrace in Aurora on August 28, 2018. Wilma was born on November 28, 1919, in Montgomery, Illinois. She married Alvis Hauer in 1942. The couple settled in Montgomery, where they raised their daughter, Aljene. Wilma loved all dogs, especially her pet Boston Terriers. They always brought a smile to her face. She also enjoyed music, antiques, dancing, and creating new recipes. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Aljene Wendling and son-in-law Ronald of Seattle, Washington, granddaughter Pamela Knepper, husband Grant and great-granddaughter Renee Knepper, all of Hillsboro, Oregon, her sister, Catherine Baker of Waukegan, Illinois, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvis Hauer, her parents William and Clara Beyer, sisters Myrtle Royer, Bernice Dennin, brothers Frederick Beyer and Alfred Beyer, and grandson Paul Wendling. Family and friends will gather at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Thursday, September 6, 2018, for a public visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery.
