Mary Therese Hepp

Mary Therese Hepp, a longtime resident of Aurora, Illinois passed away quietly on April 1, 2017. Mary Therese was born August 28, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arthur and Marguerite (McInerney) Frey, the third of four children. Mary Therese attended St. Columbanus Elementary School, Aquinas Dominican High School, and St. Xavier College in Chicago and worked at the Avalon Park Branch of the Chicago Public Library. In 1956 Mary Therese and husband Jack settled their growing family in Aurora, where she was active in her church and community including Holy Angels Church, the Girl Scouts, and the Women of the Moose, where she also served as Senior Regent. Mary retired from Illinois Bell/Ameritech after a long and successful career as an operator and residential service consultant. Mary Therese's retirement included travel, part-time work with Plum Landing, and many happy times with family. Mary Therese was at her best with a big group of family, and especially when gathered around a meal. She delighted in sharing laughs with anyone and had many close friends throughout her life. Her husband of 64 years, John J., and her daughter Marilyn preceded Mary Therese in death. She is survived by brother Tom, children Terri (Tom) Alfredson of Palo Alto, California; John (Titi) Hepp of Champaign, Illinois; Rita (Tim) Murphy of Williamsburg, Virginia; Nancy Hepp of Clinton, Washington; and Jim (Katie) Hepp of Geneva, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM; Fr. Michael Lavan will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
