Marianne H. Reier

Marianne H. Reier, 84, a lifelong resident of Aurora, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 3, 2019. She was born September 25, 1934 in Aurora, Illinois. Marianne loved her Family and her Faith and devoted her life to both. She was truly a disciple of Christ, living her life in service to her family, parish family and God. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, having worked as Bookkeeper/Business Manager for 35 years. Anyone who has been blessed to cross her path will know how much she will be missed. Those who knew her best will always refer to her simply as Mom. The Matriarch of the Reier family, she leaves behind nine children: Mike (Lori) Dunn-Reier, Mary Reier (Barry Kishpaugh), Dave (Brenda), Helen, Joann, Ed (Diane), Patty (Dave) Lee, Bart (Maria), and Anne (Jeff) Miller; thirteen grandchildren: Jessica (Eric), Malia, Briana (Anssi), Christa, Jason (Joy), Joey, Brittany, Heather, Robert, Nathan, Eric, Brett and Bruce; four great grandchildren: Elise, Alex, Elliot and newest and precious Lily. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph H. Reier, her parents, Peter and Helen Sibenaller; her brothers, Francis (Betty), Bob (Marge/Dorothy), Wally (Mary), Richard (Patricia), Jerome (Jean), and her sister Dort (Bart) Mahoney. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with a Liturgical Wake Service at 5:00 PM, at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. (630) 631-5500. Marianne will lie-in-state at St. Joseph Church, 722 High Street, Aurora on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Msgr. Eric R. Barr will officiate, Rev. Jerome Leake will concelebrate. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Philip Moore.
