Elaine F. Eckhoff

Elaine F. Eckhoff (Zemansky), 89, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family on December 8, 2016. A life-long resident of Aurora, Elaine was born April 20, 1927, to Harry L. and Mary A. (Klaren) Zemansky and was a graduate of East Aurora High School. She was an active member and loyal volunteer for numerous events of St. Therese of Jesus, in addition to over 25 years at Annunciation Parish. Her love for animals was unmatched, providing a home for many rescue dogs. She was employed for 10 years at the Old Second National Bank as a loan teller and secretary where she met Robert W. Eckhoff and they were united in marriage on November 4, 1961. She loved gardening in her spare time but her family was always her focus and priority. Elaine is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Karen(Dan) Huddleston; sisters, Doris (Emmett) Langston and Joan Zemansky; brother, Harold Zemansky; sister-in-law, Shirley Zemansky, all of Aurora; nephews, Larry (Diane) Langston, Michael (Lynne) Langston, Mark (Sandy) Plante, and Alex (Peggy) Zemansky; niece, Lori (Ed) Harding; great nieces, Michelle (Chris) Salava, Cara and Sharon Plante, and Mallory Harding; great nephews, Andy (Kristen) Langston, and Jason (Laura) Langston Doug Plante, and Drew Harding, and Gary (Emily) Langston; great, great nephews, Caden , Cooper, Nolan, and Kellen Langston; and her faithful furry companion “Buddy.” Special thanks to family friend, Cara Yesawich for her constant support. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tom Zemansky, Bob Zemansky; her brother-in-law Robert Plante; a niece, Linda Plante and a nephew James Plante. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
