Eileen J. Cinto

Eileen J. Cinto, 79, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 24, 1932 in Aurora, Illinois. Eileen was employed as a wedding consultant at Carson Pirie Scott for 5 years and was former owner of Barefoot Charlie’s Diner. She was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, where she actively volunteered at numerous functions, and was also a member of the Alpha Beta Phi Social Sorority. Eileen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an outstanding cook and maker of homemade candy, and also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Wisconsin, and spending time with her beautiful family. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Albert Cinto, Sr.; her children: Kathy (Frank) Barilla, John (Peggy) Thayer, Susan (Robert) Argenta, Albert (Mary) Cinto, Jr., Robert (Janice) Cinto, Timothy (Karen) Cinto and Mark (Mary Ann) Thayer; her grandchildren: Angie Jeffers, Maggie Cinto, Melissa LeCuyer, Anne Heim, Matthew Barilla, Katie and Kristin Cinto, Patrick, Collin, Sean and Emmalee Thayer, and Megan and Erin Cinto; great grandchildren: Ethan and Taylor; Madeline and Aiden; and her special family members, Jean Flynn, Rose Juneau, Peggy Cinto and Anastasia. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Thomas Cinto; her first husband, George Thayer; her parents, Charles and Ella Schoenfielder; and two brothers, Robert and Charles Schoenfielder. Eileen’s family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Phillip Bonomi at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and also to Rush-Copley Medical Center and Nurse Manager Tammy Allen, RN. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY at 9:30 AM to St. George Church at 10:00 AM. Fr. Frederick Peterson, O.S.B. will officiate.
