Denise L. Ferrelli

Denise Ferrelli, 55 years old of Aurora. Loving mother to Meagan (Colin Ross) and Anthony. Wife to Christopher. Daughter to Alberta and Charles (deceased) Williams. Sister to Diane (Gary Schnieder), Debbie (Jack Brennan), and Robert Williams. Daughter-in-law to Joan and Anthony Ferrelli. Denise passed away from complications of pneumonia on November 24, 2011 after a short but tenacious fight. Denise was originally from the Scottsdale neighborhood on Chicago’s south side. Despite her fear that civilization ceased to exist west of Kingery Road, Denise moved to Aurora in 1987 and married Chris in 1989. Denise was an avid Chicago Bears fan and for reasons unexplained, also a fan of the Chicago Cubs. Whether it was Meagan’s work with challenged individuals or Anthony’s participation in sports, Denise loved her children and was very proud of them. Denise was a ease in the kitchen and was known for her lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and pasta dinners when family would gather at the table for food, refreshments, and energetic conversation. Although not of Italian decent, Denise quickly became accustomed to the arts of Italian cooking as if she had “just got off the boat”. Denise loved to travel but her favorite vacation destination was Clear Lake Resort in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Denise spent many enjoyable hours with Chris sitting in a boat drowning crawlers and catching the occasional largemouth. Another love of Denise’s was for her many canine companions that she had through the years; all characters, all loyal, and most importantly to Denise; they were all rescue dogs. Most recently, Denise was employed by Jewel Osco working in the deli department where she quickly made friends with the regular customers that would come in for their weekly purchases. Denise will be missed by all who were touched by her unique personality and talents. Good-bye Denise; no more pain, no more suffering. We will miss you. Please watch over Meagan and Anthony. Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 9:30am to St. Peter Church at 10:00am. Fr. Antoni Kretowicz will officiate. Interment will be at a later date.
