Charleen Reuland

CHARLEEN L. REULAND 1925 - 2011 Charleen L. Reuland, 86, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Rush Copley Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1925 in Aurora, Illinois. Charleen will be missed and remembered by many, her family who were her greatest source of pride, her wonderful friends, as well as the customers at Reuland Food Service who became her friends and the countless charities she supported regularly. She began her spiritual life at Holy Angels Catholic Church as an infant and ended her life as a long-time parishioner, serving on various committees of the Holy Angels St. Anne Society. She also served on the Mercy Center Auxiliary for several years. Charleen had an amazing enthusiasm for all she did. An excellent cook who enjoyed sharing her culinary creations with friends, she and her husband Paul translated that talent into Reuland Food Service, a business they started in 1955. Her son Jeff, his wife and two of their children continue the family tradition here in Aurora. Her youngest son Dan and his wife and daughter continue the tradition in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Among her favorite sources of entertainment were games of chance and playing cards which she enjoyed with friends and family, especially son Paul and his wife and daughter Rene. Family get-togethers always included food, laughter and games. She belonged to several card clubs throughout the years with friends and family. Charleen had a great love for all animals and has always had a special canine companion of her own. She contributed to Fox Valley Animal Welfare by donating baked goods and other items to their sales as well as financially supporting both local and national animal welfare groups. Her generous nature will live on in all who were touched by her giving heart and especially in her family who hope to continue her legacy of charity. Survivors include her four children, Rene Juneau of Aurora, IL, Jeff (Cindi) Reuland of Big Rock, IL, Paul (Marie) Reuland of Yorkville, IL, Dan (Mary) Reuland of Arbor Vitae, WI; twelve grandchildren, Nathan (Vickie) Juneau, Angela (Andrew) Eilermann, Ryan (Jenny) Reuland, Brigit (Jason) Foster, Shannon Reuland (Brian Murray), Christi (Dan) Cook, Amy (Kevin) Smith, Matthew (Andrea) Reuland, Jenny (Jason) Braun, Andrea Reuland, Kurt (Cristina) Reuland, Sara Reuland; eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Reuland; her parents, William and Noreen Miller. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM. Fr. John Earl will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
