Carol L. Frieders

Carol Louise Moenning Frieders, of Aurora, IL went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 07, 2016, after a long struggle with cancer. Carol passed in her home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quincy IL on January 8th 1932 to parents, Paul and Caroline Moenning. Carol graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1950 and Quincy College in 1954. Carol was a beloved school teacher at Holy Angels Grade School for 29 years. Prior to Holy Angels, she taught kindergarten at Oak Park School, before starting her family. Carol was a kind and compassionate soul that loved all of her “kids” and felt they truly were family. Carol volunteered at the Schingoethe Native American Museum in Aurora as well as taught English at the Literacy Center. Carol loved to crochet and made hats that she donated to cancer patients. Carol was a beautiful person both inside and out and will be missed dearly by her friends and family. Family always came first to Carol and she was so very proud of them. She loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and loved teaching them. She always said “learn a new word every day.” Carol is preceded in death by her Husband of 56 years, Robert M. Frieders, Mother, Carrie Neisen, Father, Paul Moening and Granddaughter Destiny Smith. Carol is survived by her sons, Mike Frieders (Holly Smith Frieders) and Paul Frieders both from Aurora, Daughter Mary Frieders Hassert (Todd Hassert) of North Carolina, Granddaughters Alix Frieders Cunningham (Josh Cunningham), Ashley Frieders Danilowski (Sebastion Danilowski), Lisa Frieders, Samantha Smith, Grandsons, Bobby Frieders, Jake Frieders, Great Granddaughters, Cadence Cunningham, Sunny Newell and Great Grandson, Jameson Cunningham. Sister, Mary Moenning Musholt (Stanley Musholt) and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from The Daleiden Mortuary will be Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:30am to Holy Angels Church at 12:00 noon. Fr. James Canova will officiate with interment at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2016 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
