Adolf Wagner

Adolf Wagner, 83, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Asbury Gardens in North Aurora. He was born June 20, 1932 in the Ukraine. Adolf was employed at Seal Master for more than 38 years. He was a longtime member of Annunciation Church, and a member of the Aurora Turners Club. Adolf and Liz enjoyed visiting friends and relatives around the world, also visiting many states and parks in North America. He loved walking with his wife and dogs throughout the Aurora area parks and trails. Adolf loved talking about his family history, and enjoyed a good discussion about politics, history and religion. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1956, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1979. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include his son, Eric; two daughters, Irene (Jeff) Windett and Linda (Craig) Loveless; six grandchildren: Luke (Peggy), Zach (Brittany), Elizabeth and Jon Wagner, and Patrick and Kelsey Loveless; five great grandchildren: Elias, Uriah, Isaiah, Gaby and Hannah Wagner; his sister, Maria; three brothers, Alexander, Eduard and Eugen Wagner; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth M. Wagner in 2012; his parents, Theodor and Maria Wagner; his sister, Philomena; and his special aunt, Walburga Hogele. The family wishes to thank the staff at Asbury Gardens for their excellent care of our father. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY at 9:30 AM to Annunciation Church at 10:00 AM. Fr. Patrick Gillmeyer, O.S.B. will officiate with interment at Marywood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
