MARIA NELLY GONZALEZ 1935 – 2011 Maria Nelly Gonzalez, 76 of Aurora, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 27, 1935 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was united in marriage on July 24, 1958 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juan Gonzalez. Together they immigrated to Aurora, IL in 1963 with their three eldest children. She was employed by Western Electric for nearly twenty years prior to her retirement in 1995. She was a long time member of St. Therese Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her six children, John (Sandy) Gonzalez, Nelly (Ken) Stanfield, Humberto (Patricia) Gonzalez, Diana (Patrick) Butler, Norma (Chad) Lewis, Sonia (Rob) Weaver; fourteen grandchildren, Trever and Shaley Gonzalez, Matthew (Barbie) McDonough, Eric (Sarah) Stanfield, Ryan and Sarah Krol, Morgan and Lilianna Gonzalez, Allison, Jenna and Jessica Butler, Olivia and Francesca Lewis, Skye Weaver; a great grandson, Jack Emerson Stanfield; six brothers, Rene (Maria de los Angeles) Elizondo, Jesus De Jose Elizondo, Reynold (Maria) Elizondo, Reymundo Elizondo, Ramon (Maria Luisa) Elizondo, Manuel Guadalupe Elizondo; two sisters, Margarita Reyna and Carmen Elizondo; her brother-in-law, Juan Avendaño; her dear friends, Lupe Rodriguez, Lilia Elena Gonzalez; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Fidel and Maria (Gonzalez) Elizondo; three brothers, Hector Elizondo, Fidel Elizondo and Refugio Elizondo; her sister, Ninfa Avendaño; a sister-in-law, Lilia Elizondo Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Therese Church at 10:00 AM, Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
