Joan M. Kluber

Joan M. Kluber, 92, of Aurora IL, passed away on May 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her five children. She was born on December 17, 1928 in Aurora, the daughter of Joseph and Ann Chione. She was united in marriage on May 28, 1949 to the love of her life Fred (Fritz) Kluber. Together they raised five children and shared 56 loving years. She was a devout Catholic, a kind and loving woman who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was an avid reader and had a natural talent for writing. She wrote stories for her grandchildren, and also wrote the story of her childhood years growing up for each of her children. She loved words and word games, and will be remembered for her clever puns and wordplay. She is survived by her five children, Tom (Patty) Kluber of Burr Ridge, Mary (Bob) Pulfer of Montgomery, Ann (Randy) Johnson of Sugar Grove, Paul (Beth) Kluber of Aurora, and Sue Kluber of Aurora; ten grandchildren, Jeff Pulfer, Kevin (Beth) Pulfer, Christine (Matt) Mooney, Christopher (Chrissy) Burns, Ryan (Emily) Kluber, Joanne (Dean) Burns, Bill (Tina) Kluber, Sean (Emily) Johnson, Todd (Amanda) Kluber, and Amy (Charlie) Kluber; ten great-grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Buster, Dakota Wolf, Zach Pulfer, Kailie Pulfer, Ashlynn Pulfer, Molly Mooney, Thomas Mooney, Bennett Kluber, Estelle Kluber, and Aaron Kluber; a great granddaughter on the way; two great-great grandchildren, Ellie Rose and Noah Buster; brother, Joe Chione of North Aurora; also a multitude of grand-cats, grand-dogs, and grand-chickens. She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz; parents; sister, Mary Niemeyer; brother, Dick Chione; grandson, Timothy Kluber; great-granddaughter, Ashlie Pulfer, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. She will be missed by the countless people she touched during her long and loving life. Mass of Christian Burial will begin Friday June 4, 2021 at 11:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 620 Fifth Street, Aurora at 12:00 PM. Fr. Timothy Mulcahey will officiate with interment at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery. Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500.
