OUR GRIEF JOURNEY
Open to any adult who has experienced the death of a loved one. Designed
to help individuals work through feelings of loss and express these
feelings in a supportive environment.
PATHWAYS
Addresses specific issues of those who have lost a life partner. This
group provides practical support related to household tasks and finances,
emotional support to help mourners accept the reality of death, and
support to help widowed people know what to expect during the journey
of grief.
BROWN BAG LUNCH
Designed for bereaved individuals who prefer informal experiences. Just
bring a lunch and share conversation with a bereavement staff member.
ALPHA
Grief information/support. An opportunity for grief support for all
losses. No registration required.
GRIEF SHARE
Ongoing drop-in support group. No registration required.
WEAVERS CIRCLE (60 AND OVER)
Offers friendship and support for those who have experienced the death
of a spouse/mate. It seeks to provide a comfortable way to begin to
reconnect social relationships. Meets monthly at local restaurants.

NEXT STEP (59 AND UNDER)
Offers friendship and support for those who have experienced the death
of a spouse/mate. Planned social events to include children. Call Teresa

FOOTPRINTS-PERINATAL LOSS SUPPORT GROUP
For parent(s) and adult family members who have had a recent miscarriage,
ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or newborn death or who are newly addressing
such a loss. Parents and families should attend all sessions. For group
schedule and to register, please contact Priscilla Brinkman at Fox Valley
Hospice (630-232-2233).
FOOTSTEPS-PERINATAL LOSS SUPPORT GROUP
For parent(s) and adult family members who have moved through the initial
grief of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillborn, or newborn loss
and are anticipating another pregnancy or who are pregnant after such
a loss.
The Compassionate Friends
A Free Support Group
The group that meets in Aurora is the Fox Valley Illinois TCF Chapter.
Meetings are held the 2nd Friday of each month at 7:30 at Mercy Center
Hospital.

NEW
Program designed to assist children and their families cope with death
and grief. Children and families meet weekly for six sessions beginning
with a light meal followed by group activities. Contact Priscilla Brinkman
